Our last post had us in the New Wilmington, PA area. We stayed at the Mercer KOA which is south of Mercer along Rt 208. The KOA had a special in June on their rv sites so we took advantage of that and upgraded to a patio site. It is a very nice site complete with wood deck and swing. I've included a couple of photo's of the site.
Next we traveled to the area of Three Rivers, Michigan which is south of Kalamazoo. We stayed on a lake front site at the Klines RV Resort and had a great view. Couple that with absolutely fantastic weather, we had a great stay there.
We came to the area to visit with Linda's mother and brother who live in Portage and Schoolcraft, MI. I've included two photo's of our rv site and a picture of a neat stone church that we came across in the town of Mendon.

Michigan has many inland lakes with lots of great lakeside homes and cottages. We spent time touring some of the lakes in the area and picked out a number of lakefront homes that would be very comfortable for homesteading. If it wasn't for those winters...
Michigan also has many great shoreline communities along the Great Lakes. One such touristy town in southwestern Michigan is Saugatuck. I'll let the photo's of Saugatuck speak for themselves.
From southwest Michigan we traveled north to the Leelanau Peninsula which is located northwest of Traverse City. This is one of our favorite places in Michigan. More on this area in future posts.
